Job summary

Yale University seeks an Associate Director of Admissions for Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) and Yale Young African Scholars (YYAS) in New Haven. You will lead two teams, drive recruitment and admissions operations, and coordinate with related departments to optimize student access and success.

The role requires strategic planning, data analysis, and collaboration with Yale Conference & Events, housing, dining, and accessibility teams, with a hybrid in-office schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of related work experience in admissions, registrar, placement, financial aid or student counseling.
• Preferred: experience with enrichment programs such as YYGS/YYAS.
• Willingness to travel for recruiting events.

Responsibilities

• Develops a strategic plan to build a robust recruitment program considering selectivity and yield.
• Coordinate recruitment efforts internationally, nationally, and locally.
• Implement marketing strategies to build applicant pools and raise yield, including digital venues and partnerships.
• Oversee admissions processes: reviewing applications, decisions, correspondence, events, and notifications.
• Oversee financial aid application and awards procedures, including scholarships and travel grants.
