Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Director for Global Private Markets to act as the central coordinator and commercial architect of the firm’s global initiative. The role requires a highly strategic, relationship‑driven business development leader who can translate private markets strategy into tangible client engagement and growth.

Based in the United States with hybrid work across multiple offices, the role partners with lawyers and leaders to identify cross‑selling opportunities, manage strategic growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business, finance, marketing, economics, law or similar field.
• Master’s degree preferred (MBA, JD, Finance, Business, Economics, Marketing or related).
• A minimum of 10+ years in business development, client development, marketing or strategy leadership within global professional services.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and coordinate the Global Private Markets initiative across practice groups and regions.
• Identify market opportunities and drive client engagement and growth.
• Coordinate pursuit teams and develop client targeting strategies for institutional investors and asset managers.
• Produce executive-level reporting and strategic recommendations for initiative leadership.
• Oversee thought leadership, client alerts, webinars, and external speaking opportunities.
• Drive internal engagement and maintain capabilities, relationships, and market opportunities.
