Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA, seeks a Head of Mechanical Strategic Supply Chain to architect and execute global sourcing across direct mechanical commodities, including CNC machining, casting, injection molding, composites, and sheet metal.

You will lead a high-performance team, partner with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Exec Leadership, and drive cost, resilience, and speed from NPI to high-volume production while navigating regulated defense supply chains and geopolitical

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.
10+ years of mechanical/structural strategic sourcing or supply chain leadership.
5+ years building and scaling procurement teams.
Experience negotiating enterprise-level agreements for multi-million-dollar programs.
Willingness to travel up to 25–50% domestically and internationally.
Willingness to relocate onsite in Costa Mesa, CA.

Responsibilities

Define and execute multi-year global commodity and sourcing strategies to drive cost reduction and resilience.
Build and lead a high-performing team of commodity managers and sourcing engineers across global sites.
Serve as the executive sponsor for Tier 1 suppliers, MSAs, and long-term partnerships.
Partner with Mechanical, Materials, and Manufacturing to drive DFM and cost optimizations.
Lead negotiations for MSAs, development agreements, and complex SOWs with pricing, IP, and lead-time considerations.
Identify single-source dependencies and develop risk mitigation and dual-sourcing strategies.
Develop should-cost models and TCO evaluations from concept to end-of-life.
Communicate updates and strategic reviews with C-suite executives.
