Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA, is recruiting a Senior Sourcing Engineer to drive strategic supply network development and cost management for product hardware across their lifecycles.

You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing, lead NPI component procurement, and optimize value through supplier development, BOM optimization, and TCO-focused cost engineering while enabling fast, resilient defense manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in electronics and/or mechanical design and development.
• Advanced sourcing activities including commodity/sourcing management.
• Supplier development across technology, process, and supply chain.
• Early supplier engagement before product/engineering requirements realization.
• Value/procurement engineering or TCO-focused work at component/product level.
• Experience with high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
• BS in engineering (BSME, BSEE) or related technical degree.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection for a specific product using the approved supplier list.
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development with clear statements of work and trade studies.
• Develop and consolidate a manufacturing BOM with Quality & Manufacturing to ramp production.
• Own NPI component procurement ensuring on-time delivery.
• Manage CAPEX throughout NPI.
• Map value-stream to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.
• Complete BOM risk assessment including alternate sourcing.
• Ensure vendor component qualifications ahead of production.
• Reduce complexity via commonality optimization and supplier rationalization.
• Lead cost engineering to converge the bottoms-up cost curve to product cost and maximize total cost of ownership.
• Address ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and cost inflation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production on the production floor.
