Job summary

OCLC is seeking a Director for the Research Library Partnership to guide strategic and operational direction of a global library collaboration. You will coordinate across program areas, lead a small team, and ensure offerings are delivered with high quality.

You will work with partner libraries worldwide, shaping new affiliation models and ensuring consistent engagement. Strong leadership and relationship-building are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience leading complex programs, portfolios, or membership-based initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MLIS or relevant advanced degree strongly preferred.
• Experience supervising staff and building collaborative teams across libraries and institutions.
• Familiarity with library ecosystems, metadata, resource sharing, and research support.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for the RLP program and coordinate cross-area activities.
• Oversee operational planning and delivery of RLP events and initiatives.
• Lead a small team of program staff and mentor Senior Program Officers.
• Manage RLP membership records and partner engagement with emphasis on value delivery.
• Track engagement metrics and report outcomes to stakeholders.
