Job summary

BNY is seeking a Senior Director, Engineering Group Leader for the Enterprise Onboarding team. The role can be located in Pittsburgh, PA, New York, NY, or Jersey City, NJ, and involves leading architecture, development, and delivery of AI-enabled software products.

You will mentor a global engineering team, drive disciplined SDLC/PDLC and Agile practices, and coordinate with product and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions. A hands-on engineering background is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
12–15 years of total work experience with 3–5 years of management experience preferred.
At least five years of software engineering experience with hands-on development.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable, secure software solutions.
Serve as hands-on engineer contributing to architecture, coding, reviews, and release management.
Lead and develop a small, high-performing global engineering team with focus on execution and technical excellence.
Drive SDLC, PDLC, Agile delivery, and product operating model practices.
Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate needs into design and delivery plans.
Champion AI-enabled development tools and practices to improve productivity and quality.
Balance strategic objectives with day-to-day planning and issue resolution.
Coach engineers to build technical capability and a culture of learning.
