Job summary

BNY is seeking a Senior Director, Engineering Group Leader for the Enterprise Transformation Engineering team. The role is based in Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY and leads a global engineering group focused on scalable, secure software for ETH.

You will drive SDLC/PDLC, Agile delivery, and AI-enabled development practices while partnering with product and business stakeholders to execute delivery plans. Strong leadership and technical depth are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 12-15 years total experience.
3-5 years of management experience preferred.
At least five years of hands-on software engineering experience.
Experience with AI-enabled development tools and workflows.
Experience leading a small global engineering team.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable software solutions.
Serve as hands-on engineer contributing to architecture, coding, reviews, testing, and release management.
Lead and develop a small, high-performing global engineering team.
Drive disciplined SDLC/PDLC practices and Agile delivery.
Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate needs into delivery plans.
Champion AI-enabled software development tools to boost productivity and quality.
Balance strategic objectives with day-to-day planning and issue resolution.
Coach and mentor engineers to build technical capability and a culture of learning.
