Openkrill is seeking a Director, Global Commodity Management to lead the aerospace sourcing strategy from the United States. You will manage a geographically dispersed team, oversee strategic supplier relationships, and drive improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity.

You will shape global commodity strategies, direct complex negotiations, and align sourcing with manufacturing and program needs while mitigating risks across regulated, internationally connected environments.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline.
• 10+ years aerospace procurement, strategic sourcing, or commodity management experience.
• 5+ years of leadership of geographically distributed teams.
• Experience in global aerospace sourcing across direct materials, services, and complex supplier networks.
• Proven track record in developing and delivering global commodity strategies and cost improvements.
• Advanced knowledge of AS9100, Nadcap, and export-control requirements.
• Strong knowledge of global trade compliance, Incoterms, and responsible sourcing.
• Experience with market indices, inflation, surcharges, and pass-through provisions.
• Excellent executive negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient with MRP/ERP, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsabilidades

• Lead global commodity management across direct materials, tooling, and services.
• Mentor Regional Commodity Managers and set global sourcing governance.
• Develop and implement global commodity strategies balancing demand, capacity, cost, and risk.
• Direct supplier selection, complex negotiations, and long-term agreements.
• Drive cost savings, working capital improvements, and risk reduction via should-cost analyses.
• Build strategic supplier relationships through executive reviews and scorecards.
• Oversee supplier capacity, lead times, and risk management including geopolitical exposure.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Program teams on RFQs and make/buy decisions.
• Govern demand and supply reviews aligning forecasts and commitments.
• Negotiate strategic contracts minimizing schedule, quality, warranty, and price risks.
• Standardise sourcing processes and data governance using ERP/CRM tools.
• Represent Global Supply Chain in executive reviews and cross-functional programs.
• Support ITAR and SBLO responsibilities where applicable.
• Travel 20-40% to support global operations.
