Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Director of Global Commodity Management for a remote US-based role in Aerospace & Defense. Lead direct materials and strategic indirect categories, shaping global strategy and supplier development to ensure supply continuity and competitive costs.

You will drive negotiations, should-cost analyses, and productivity initiatives across regions, partnering with cross-functional teams to align sourcing with demand and manufacturing needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in aerospace procurement, strategic sourcing, or commodity management.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing geographically dispersed teams.
• Proven track record in developing and executing global commodity strategies and negotiating complex agreements.
• Advanced expertise in aerospace supplier qualification and performance management, including AS9100 and Nadcap standards.
• Strong knowledge of global trade compliance and customs regulations.
• Advanced analytical skills with MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global commodity management organization for direct materials and strategic indirect categories.
• Coach and develop regional commodity managers, establishing global strategies and performance expectations.
• Develop and execute global commodity strategies aligned with customer demand and manufacturing capacity.
• Negotiate and implement long-term agreements and manage supplier relationships.
• Conduct should-cost analyses and deliver measurable productivity and cost-reduction results.
• Manage supplier capacity and lead times, ensuring supply continuity and risk mitigation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to lead sourcing decisions and new product introductions.
