Nscale is hiring a Director, Generation Electrical Engineering to own the electrical power system design for its generation facilities in Houston, TX. The role leads the engineering of islanded generation, BESS integration, and HV/LV distribution, directing EPC partners and OEM programs.

You will set design bases, oversee studies and construction, and partner with a peer to align protection and controls. Travel to sites and vendors is expected.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Significant lead/owner’s engineer experience preferred.
• Experience with large power generation equipment and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with NEC, NESC, IEEE/IEC standards; hazardous area classification.

Responsabilidades

• Own the electrical design basis for generation facilities, including diagrams and system architecture.
• Direct power system studies (load flow, short circuit, harmonics) and models.
• Engineer plant auxiliary electrical systems and ensure safety, constructability, and operability.
• Lead vendor reviews, equipment specifications, FAT, and field integration.
• Coordinate with controls, mechanical, and civil scopes; mentor engineers and consultants.
