Indiana University Public Safety in Bloomington seeks an experienced supervisor to manage daily dispatch operations and lead a team of professionals dedicated to safety across campus. The role involves setting short-term objectives, addressing performance issues, staffing and scheduling, and ensuring excellent customer service.
The successful candidate will coach staff, oversee QA, and drive process improvements in a demanding, 24/7 environment.
PUBLIC SAFETY (UA-PSIA-IUBLA)
Indiana University (IU) Public Safety pursues the university'scommitment to providing the greatest degree of safety for allmembers of the IU community, consistent with the university'smission and environment, applicable legal and professionalstandards, and available resources. IU Public Safety directly oversees areas including the IU Police Department, Emergency Management and Continuity, and Fire Safety and Loss Prevention, operating with a team of approximately 300 dedicated staff on a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year operational basis across all campuses.
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
