Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Director for Transaction Advisory / Financial Due Diligence to drive buy-side and sell-side due diligence for PE and corporate clients.

The role reports to Managing Directors, mentoring associates and leading engagement teams across multiple transactions. The candidate should have 8–10 years of FDD experience, CPA or in progress, and strong proficiency in GAAP, SEC, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of financial accounting due diligence experience at a top accounting firm.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and/or related major.
• CPA or in the process of obtaining one.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and purchase accounting.
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Flexibility to work as both a team member in a collaborative setting and as an individual contributor.
• Ability to thrive and be effective in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Counsel and mentor Associates, Senior Associates and Managers.
• Lead the team in conversations with clients and lenders.
• Manage and prioritize team responsibilities and consult with Managing Directors and senior team members as appropriate.
• Oversee all aspects of deals with limited guidance from Managing Directors.
• Manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
