Job summary

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Director Field Technology to guide security strategy for Defense Edge solutions, engaging DoD, IC, and COCOM accounts. You will translate capabilities into mission outcomes, build a DoD/IC customer community, and shape product roadmaps with compliance in mind.

You will also lead engagements with journalists and industry analysts, discuss emerging trends in Zero Trust and AI Runtime Defense, and support capture teams as a security SME for high-priority Defense

Qualifications

Over 12 years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
Experience engaging with DoD/IC stakeholders and senior government officials.
Expert in edge-native security and Zero Trust architectures.
Proven ability to translate product capabilities into mission outcomes for DoD/IC.

Responsibilities

Operate as the primary contact for security and ADE products with DoD/IC accounts.
Build a community of DoD/IC customers to influence product roadmaps and compliance.
Lead engagements with journalists and Industry Analysts (Gartner, Forrester).
Discuss defense security trends and Akamai Defense Edge at industry events.
Educate customer-facing teams on Zero Trust and AI Runtime Defense for mission environments.
Serve as the voice of solutions architecture for DoD/agency opportunities.
Support capture and proposals as a technical SME on Defense Edge deals.
