Ryan Companies US, Inc. seeks a Director of Field Operations to lead field teams for our Mission Critical sector, focusing on hyperscale and co-location data center projects.

You will partner with the VP of Construction and project teams to ensure operational excellence and project success from start to finish. The role emphasizes staff development, scheduling discipline, client engagement, and rigorous profitability controls, with a path to leadership within a national team.

Responsibilities

• Lead Mission Critical Field Operations across hyperscale/co-location data centers from inception to completion.
• Own project mobilization: site logistics, safety program implementation, and team structure.
• Develop detailed project schedules during proposals and manage them to ensure on-time delivery.
• Build and mentor field staff through recruitment, placement, and performance feedback.
• Present to prospective clients and manage ongoing client relationships.
• Ensure project profitability with cost controls and proper documentation.
• Train staff in estimating, scheduling, and construction management; teach Ryan Tools.
• Support VP in evaluations, compensation recommendations, and terminations.
• Review estimates, close-out projects, and manage subcontractors.
• Prepare monthly reports and support field meetings.
• Stay informed on regional union issues and industry developments.
