Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Director of Field Operations to lead field operations for the Mission Critical sector, serving hyperscale and co-location clients.

This role partners with the VP of Construction, Field Teams, and Project Teams to ensure operational excellence and project success. The Director will own project start-ups, schedule development, staff mentoring, and client engagement while driving profitability and robust controls across project lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Lead Mission Critical Field Operations: Direct and manage all field activities for hyperscale and co-location data center projects.
• Oversee Project Start-Up: Take ownership of mobilization, site logistics, safety program implementation, and team structure for project launch.
• Own Schedule Development and Management: Create detailed schedules and maintain oversight to ensure on-time delivery.
• Build, Place, and Mentor Staff: Recruit, hire, and mentor field staff and ensure performance expectations are met.
• Client Engagement: Present to prospective clients and participate in client relationship programs.
• Project Profitability and Controls: Maximize project profits with robust cost controls and documentation.
• Team Training and Development: Train staff on estimating, scheduling, construction management, and Ryan Tools.
• Employee Management: Support VP on evaluations, compensation, and terminations with VP approval.
• Project Lifecycle Management: Review estimates, ensure close-out, keep accounts current, and monitor subcontractors.
• Operational Reporting and Strategy: Prepare monthly project status reports and support field operations decisions.
• Industry Leadership: Stay current on labor agreements and communicate industry developments to the team.
