Job summary

Legacy of Hope is seeking a Director of Family Services to lead the department and ensure high-quality, compassionate care for donor families.

The role emphasizes staff development, operational excellence, and alignment with organizational priorities. The director will liaison with hospitals, coordinate improvement initiatives, and support QAPI and compliance efforts across the service area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years experience in an organ procurement organization (OPO) or tissue recovery agency, or at least three (3) years in a clinical leadership role with direct oversight of clinical operations, staff, performance, and strategic initiatives required.
• Demonstrated experience in family engagement, authorization processes, and customer relationship management required.
• Advanced degree in nursing, public relations, business or healthcare administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Family Services Department.
• Ensure high-quality, compassionate care to donor families.
• Collaborate with QAPI and BI leaders to meet goals and compliance.
• Serve as liaison to donor hospitals and share best practices for authorization outcomes.
• Act as administrator on call as necessary.
