Job summary
The New York City Department of Transportation's Division of Bridges seeks an Environmental Compliance professional to oversee environmental aspects of bridge capital construction and rehabilitation projects. Responsibilities include regulatory coordination, remedial actions, and environmental permitting across planning, design, and construction phases.

Qualifications
- A valid New York State Professional Engineer license.
- Six (6) years of full-time satisfactory experience in chemical, civil, environmental, mechanical, or related engineering fields, including at least two years in executive/administrative capacity.
Responsibilities
- Oversee environmental compliance for bridge construction and rehabilitation projects.
- Coordinate permits, regulatory reviews, and remediation plans with agencies.
- Lead ESAs, NEPA, SEQRA, CEQRA, and ULURP regulatory reviews.
- Manage stormwater and MS4 compliance, SWPPP review, and inspections.
- Represent the agency in meetings and public stakeholder engagements.
- Administer environmental consultant contracts, budgets, and payments.
- Prepare technical reports and regulatory interpretations.
