Job summary

Korn Ferry has partnered with a financially strong specialty insurance organization to recruit a Director, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) in the Midwest. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, this leader will evolve an already mature ERM program into a strategic business partner that informs enterprise decisions and supports sustainable growth.

Qualifications

Extensive leadership experience in Enterprise Risk Management.
Experience with ERM governance and board reporting.
Strong business acumen across underwriting, finance, operations, and tech risks.
Ability to influence senior leaders and build credibility.
Proven ability to build high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

Lead enhancement of ERM framework and governance.
Partner with executives for risk-informed strategic planning.
Oversee risk assessments, risk appetite, KRIs, and reporting.
Facilitate ERM committees and business continuity programs.
Identify and assess strategic, operational, financial, tech, cyber, AI, regulatory risks.
Communicate risk concepts clearly to executives.
Develop and mentor the ERM team.
