Job summary

Harvard Business Publishing seeks a Senior Program Manager, Enterprise Risk Management to lead the global ERM program and partner with senior leaders to anticipate, assess, and manage risk. This role reports to the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer and drives risk-informed decision making across Finance, Technology, Legal and Product.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in ERM or related fields, strong stakeholder management, and executive presence to engage with boards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience building or maturing risk management frameworks/programs in a complex organization
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate risk into business impact
• Executive presence and experience engaging with senior leadership and/or boards
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, compliance, legal or related field

Responsibilities

• Lead Enterprise Risk Management: Drive the evolution of HBP’s ERM framework, including risk identification, signal tracking, assessment, prioritization, and monitoring across the organization
• Enable Risk-Informed Decision-Making: Integrate ERM into business planning and financial forecasting processes to support more informed, risk-adjusted decisions across the organization
• Assess Enterprise & Emerging Risks: Evaluate key risks impacting HBP’s strategy and performance, including AI-driven disruption, cybersecurity, data privacy, regulatory compliance, and global market dynamics
• Deliver Executive & Board Reporting: Develop clear, concise risk dashboards and reports for senior leadership and the Audit & Risk Committee, highlighting key insights, trends, and recommendations
• Strengthen Risk Culture & Governance: Provide tools, guidance, and training to foster a consistent, risk-aware culture and strengthen enterprise governance practices
• Support Resilience & Preparedness: Provide leadership and contribution to crisis management, business continuity, and organizational resilience planning in coordination with cross-functional teams
