Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Director, Enterprise Retail Sales to lead a senior AE team and win strategic retail opportunities across fashion, beauty, electronics, and lifestyle merchants.

You will coach AEs, shape complex deals, and build relationships with senior merchant executives while collaborating with cross-functional partners to accelerate merchant growth. Remote-first with US-wide collaboration and travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise sales or commercial leadership experience.
• Proven experience managing and developing senior, quota-carrying Account Executives.
• Strong track record leading large, complex deals with executive stakeholders.
• Experience selling to large retail merchants in payments/fintech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of senior Account Executives; set expectations and drive results.
• Own team performance across pipeline health, forecast accuracy, deal progression, and revenue outcomes.
• Coach through complex opportunities; help AEs build business cases and negotiate.
• Build relationships with senior leaders at major retailers and engage in high-priority opportunities.
• Shapes and evolves Enterprise Retail GTM strategy with senior leadership; plan territory, pipeline, and operating discipline.
• Collaborate with Product, Client Success, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and RevOps to align milestones and resolve escalations.
• Drive sales ops excellence with data, AI, and modern tools for planning, forecasting, and deal strategy.
• Travel as needed for merchant meetings, deal support, and industry events.
