Job summary

Surescripts is seeking a Director for the Enterprise Data Platform to lead the medallion data lake initiative on Google BigQuery. You will guide a data engineering team, set standards for data ingestion, conformance, and quality, and ensure reliability across the data pipeline.

You will partner with architecture and semantic intelligence to enforce canonical data models, own data SLAs, and drive platform-scale modernization in a flexible hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, cloud data platforms, or distributed systems.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the medallion data lake architecture (Raw/Bronze, Silver, Gold) on Google BigQuery.
• Build and mentor a high-performing data engineering team with strong data quality practices.
• Define data contracts and SLAs with upstream source owners.
