Job summary

Surescripts, LLC is seeking a Director of Data Trust and Enablement to lead governance across the Enterprise Data Platform. You will steward data policy, catalog, data quality standards, and compliance, while building a community of data stewards and driving platform-enabled governance.

You will partner with Architecture, Semantic Intelligence, and Data Product Delivery to embed trust, certification, and data quality into product development and operational practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data governance or data management, with enterprise leadership experience.
• Philosophy of governance as enablement, with proven programs increasing velocity and data trust.
• Hands-on experience with Collibra or comparable enterprise data catalog, including workflow design and policy management.
• Familiarity with DAMA‑DMBOK, DCAM, or equivalent frameworks, and ability to apply concepts practically.
• Experience defining and managing critical data element programs and governance workflows.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA and healthcare data compliance requirements.
• Experience leading teams of governance professionals and data stewards.

Responsibilities

• Redefine governance at Surescripts and shift from policy enforcement to platform enablement.
• Design a Trust & Enablement function that accelerates work.
• Own the data catalog and business glossary and manage Collibra environment.
• Ensure certified, trusted data assets are discoverable and understandable.
• Drive adoption of the catalog as the authoritative reference for data assets.
• Define and manage the data certification program and workflows.
• Lead the Critical Data Element program with stakeholder input.
• Develop and enforce data policies for accessed, shared, and retained data, HIPAA aligned.
• Represent data governance in enterprise reporting and roadmap discussions.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Semantic Intelligence, and Data Product Delivery teams to embed trust checkpoints into product lifecycle.
• Build and lead a data stewardship community across domains.
