The following position is to join our RTX Corporate Enterprise Services ES-Data Team

RTX has an opening for a Director, Enterprise Data, RTX (Director, Data Science and Analytics) Role.

  • The Director, Enterprise AI, RTX will lead RTX’s Enterprise AI initiatives to improve our products and establish ourselves as an AI-powered enterprise.
  • This position will provide the unique opportunity to operate in a start-up-like environment within a Fortune 50 company.

What You Will Do:

  • The Director, Enterprise AI will have overall accountability for developing and implementing the Enterprise AI strategy for RTX.
  • Responsible for the enterprise AI management program to drive initiative execution, policy compliance and AI governance, across RTX.
  • Promulgate command media related to Enterprise AI across RTX (e.g., standards, procedures, guidance).
  • Define and lead the execution of the RTX AI platform and infrastructure roadmap.
  • Develop and implement a Strategic Workforce & Talent strategy for AI.
  • Develop a risk management framework applicable to all AI development and use.
  • Establish enterprise-wide AI Incident response team and process.
  • Define strategies and implement plans that help develop AI talent across RTX to foster a culture of collaboration and talent development as it relates to data and AI driven insights that accelerate business outcomes.
  • Attract and cultivate a world-class team to be the subject matter experts on data and software capabilities.
  • Work closely with senior leaders in Digital, Engineering, Operations and the RTX Businesses to cultivate relationships, advocate for the benefits of building talent and advanced capabilities in data.
  • Establish strong relationship and work closely with the Engineering, Operations, Digital and business leaders across RTX to identify business and technology opportunities that drive change that will enable RTX to scale in terms of revenue and efficiency.
  • Travel up to 25%

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Minimum 14+ years demonstrated hands-on success developing AI and Data driven platforms that drive business impact and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 12+ years’ related work experience
  • Significant experience in working in complex corporations and/or Aerospace & Defense or related businesses.
  • Expertise in agile/scrum methodology
  • Familiarity with common development languages, platforms, and databases
  • Financially savvy with the ability to overhaul and define budgets.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

  • Passion and deep technical and industry familiarity in the data and AI ecosystems, emerging technologies and how they will impact large-scale manufacturing industries such as Aerospace & Defense.
  • Strong awareness of trends in business, strategies and digital technologies and demonstrated ability to apply those insights to current business challenges.
  • Has an entrepreneurial spirit; acts with precision and speed.
  • Promotes and considers operational efficiency when making decisions to ensure optimal use of RTX resources.
  • Ability to travel 25%+

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
