Job summary

MISUMI Americas is seeking a Director of Enterprise AI to lead AI strategy and adoption across the organization from its Oakland, CA base. You will own the AI tools, governance, and champion network, steering initiatives from prototype to production and aligning with architecture and product teams.

You will build and lead a small team, coaching champions, enabling adoption, and driving measurable business impact across functions. Travel ~10% is required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience leading enterprise technology and workflow transformations.
• Proven success designing enablement or change-management programs.
• Experience operating within technology governance frameworks with ROI, security, architecture standards.

Responsibilities

• Own MISUMI Americas' enterprise AI portfolio and tools across the company.
• Define strategy for AI use cases discovery, evaluation, and prioritization.
• Measure impact of AI initiatives by business outcomes (hours saved, revenue, risk).
• Establish governance standards for AI prototypes to production and tools ownership.
• Build an AI champion network and enable onboarding, prompts, and resources.
• Embed with business teams to understand workflows and identify AI help areas.
• Hire and lead a small team to coach champions and drive adoption.
• Communicate AI strategy and results to executive leadership and secure investments.
