Job summary

Charter College seeks a Director of Enrollment Services to lead a senior team within the Enrollment Management division. The role coordinates financial guidance for prospective and enrolled students and partners with Admissions and Student Finance to meet enrollment goals while ensuring compliance.

The DES oversees onboarding, training, and performance coaching to build a high-performing team that delivers accurate information on funding options and supports a positive student experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in financial aid or student finance.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience training, coaching, and developing staff strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial aid processes and student funding options.
• Demonstrated ability to manage performance using metrics, goals, and accountability.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
• Strong customer service skills and a commitment to a positive student experience.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience in a fast-paced, enrollment-driven environment preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student information systems.
• All federal student loans must remain in good standing to maintain NSLDS access.
• Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining NSLDS eligibility.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and develop a team of Student Enrollment Advisors.
• Design and implement structured onboarding and training programs for advisors.
• Provide ongoing training in financial literacy, funding options, compliance, documentation accuracy, and student communication.
• Conduct regular coaching sessions focused on performance and development.
• Promote ownership, responsiveness, and student-centered service.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, including response times and file completion timelines.
• Evaluate advisor performance via call reviews, file audits, and feedback.
• Ensure timely, accurate student communications by phone, video, and in person.
• Monitor student financial files and ensure accurate submission to Student Finance.
• Collaborate with Admissions and Student Finance to align goals and processes.
• Manage team scheduling, timekeeping, and hiring decisions.
• Support strategic initiatives that drive enrollment growth and student success.
