Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Director, Employee Relations to provide strategic leadership for a workforce of 4,000+ stores and growing. The role partners with HR, Legal, Compliance, and business leaders to address complex employee matters, conduct investigations, and promote a positive workplace culture.

The position leads enterprise-wide ER strategies, manages budget/resources, and coaches senior leaders on effective people practices. Hybrid work arrangement at corporate HQ in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience conducting and overseeing complex workplace investigations.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws including EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA.
• Experience advising senior leaders on complex employee matters.
• Ability to manage sensitive, high-risk situations with sound judgment.
• Experience working with counsel on litigation or agency responses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement enterprise-wide employee relations strategies and policies.
• Lead and develop a team of Employee Relations professionals.
• Standardize processes and frameworks across units and locations.
• Oversee investigations and ensure fair, timely resolutions.
• Partner with Legal and Compliance on high-risk matters.
• Present metrics to senior leadership and drive improvements.
