Duke Energy is seeking a Director to lead the PGO health and safety program, CAP and HP programs, and provide strategic direction across EHS. You will supervise managers and program leads, shape governance, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies to reduce risk and promote an event-free culture.

You will partner with business unit leaders to align safety initiatives with operational excellence, oversee risk registers, and drive continuous improvement.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• In lieu of degree, 15+ years of related experience.
• Outstanding interpersonal, influencing and listening skills to deal effectively with all levels of employees and management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Broad knowledge of H&S and department programs and procedures.
• Ability to analyze data and develop strategic responses.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple initiatives across locations.

Mansioni

• Direct identification and analysis of health and safety, HP and CAP issues and risks; develop and execute action plans with business units; lead technical and industry advocacy groups to promote corporate interests.
• Provide leadership for performance management, budgeting, staff development and KPI monitoring across EHS/CAP/HP.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies and Legal to ensure compliance with applicable requirements; support leadership in planning and decision-making.
