Job summary

Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA invites a Director of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to lead the Manufacturing & Clinical Supply EHS program. You will drive safe, compliant and sustainable operations and collaborate with EHS, Manufacturing, Facilities, Engineering, Process Development and Quality leaders.

The role requires extensive leadership of EHS teams, development of a multi-year strategy, governance, and a data-driven approach to continuous improvement, with a strong focus on safety

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s with significant EHSS leadership experience.
• Management experience leading teams, projects or resources for 4+ years.
• Experience in biomanufacturing or biotech/pharma environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct a team of EHS professionals to implement the overall EHS management program.
• Develop a multi-year EHS strategy with measurable goals and plans.
• Scale EHS systems and change management to support growth and safety culture.
• Lead and influence cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Facilities, Engineering, and Quality.
• Promote data-driven improvements and use analytics to guide interventions and incidents prevention.
