Job summary

Parabilis Medicines is seeking an experienced Director-level DMPK scientist to provide strategic leadership across peptide therapeutics. You will shape DMPK strategy, integrate ADME/PK insights, and partner with chemists, pharmacologists, toxicologists, and CROs to mitigate risks and advance candidates.

You will drive regulatory communications, oversee AI-enabled DMPK workflows, and mentor junior scientists while ensuring in-person collaboration with project teams at our Cambridge, MA site.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in DMPK, pharmacology, biology, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related field with 10+ years of experience, or MS with 13+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated track record leading DMPK strategy across multiple programs and advancing compounds through lead optimization and IND-enabling steps.
• Deep understanding of peptide and small molecule ADME/PK principles; biologics experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of human translation, PK/PD relationships, and exposure‑response.
• Experience with regulatory submissions (INDs, IBs) and external CRO oversight.
• Proficiency with PK analysis tools (Phoenix WinNonlin, R).
• Ability to influence decisions across cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Experience applying AI tools to DMPK workflows is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for peptide DMPK across multiple discovery programs and establish ADME strategy.
• Design, interpret, and integrate ADME/PK studies to drive lead optimization and development candidate nomination.
• Partner with medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, and other functions to translate DMPK data into chemistry decisions.
• Identify and address DMPK risks and knowledge gaps to enable program progression.
• Oversee external CROs and ensure timely, high-quality DMPK studies.
• Present data and recommendations to project teams and senior leadership to inform decisions.
• Lead regulatory submissions and briefing documents related to DMPK.
• Co-lead AI-enabled DMPK workflows and digital solutions to accelerate analysis.
• Build DMPK capabilities in bioanalysis and transporter sciences with internal and external partners.
• Mentor junior scientists and advance DMPK capabilities across the organization.
