Job summary

Prelude Therapeutics Incorporated is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our DMPK and bioanalysis lab. You will manage day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and coordinate CRO studies to deliver timely results on diverse programs including small molecules and ADCs.

You will oversee LC-MS/MS and ELISA workflows, mentor scientists, and drive process improvements across biology and chemistry interfaces to support program needs.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or a related field with 10+ years of experience; or PhD with 5+ years of experience.
• 2+ years supervisory experience in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Practical experience with quantitative LC-MS/MS bioanalysis including method development and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with SCIEX and Waters mass spectrometry platforms.
• Working knowledge of in vitro DMPK assays such as protein binding, microsomal stability, and CYP inhibition.
• Experience calculating and interpreting PK parameters from preclinical studies.
• Strong organization, prioritization, and ability to meet study timelines.
• Clear written and verbal communication across scientific functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operation, workload, and priorities of the DMPK and bioanalysis lab.
• Oversee LC-MS/MS analysis of in vitro assays and data interpretation.
• Oversee bioanalysis of preclinical PK samples including LC-MS/MS or ELISA analyses.
• Ensure clear, accurate, and timely delivery of study results.
• Coordinate outsourced in vitro and in vivo studies with CROs across regions.
• Maintain laboratory upkeep and troubleshoot LC-MS instruments.
• Collaborate with biology and chemistry teams to align work with programs.
• Train, mentor, and manage laboratory staff for growth and performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, data quality, and turnaround time.
