Job summary

Formation Bio, a tech- and AI-driven pharma company, seeks an experienced Director of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics to lead DMPK strategy across diligence, in-licensing, and development programs. The role demands integrating nonclinical and clinical PK data to guide dose selection and regulatory decisions.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in DMPK for development-stage programs.
• Experience integrating nonclinical and clinical PK data.
• Strong understanding of ADME, clearance, transporters, and bioavailability.
• Ability to communicate complex data to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the DMPK SME for diligence of in-licensing and partnerships.
• Evaluate nonclinical/clinical PK, ADME, metabolism, transporter and exposure data.
• Assess data quality and identify gaps or risks in development programs.
• Evaluate human PK characteristics, dose projections, and exposure margins.
• Integrate DMPK findings with broader program data for strategy.
• Develop actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Define priority experiments and data needs for diligence and transition.
• Lead DMPK efforts in late preclinical and early clinical development.
• Provide CRO oversight and ensure alignment with regulatory expectations.
