Job summary

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all activities of the Food Service Department and the Dietitians, providing nutritious meals for patients and staff.
• Oversee supply inventory and purchasing; lead an efficient food service team.
• Approve hospital menus, including modified diets; conduct nutritional assessments and counseling.
• Monitor performance improvement initiatives within Dietary/Food Services and contribute to patient care plan development.

• Full-Time, salaried exempt, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, with some weekends, as needed

Your goals and objectives include:

• Responsible for managing and coordinating all activities of the Food Service Department and the Dietitians, including providing nutritious and appealing meals for patients and facility staff while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
• Overseeing supply inventory and purchasing, ensuring proper storage of food and supplies, and leading an efficient food service team.
• Approves hospital menus, including modified diets, conducts nutritional assessments, and offers counseling to patients and their families regarding dietary plans and nutritional principles.
• Monitors performance improvement initiatives within Dietary/Food Services and contributes to the development and implementation of patient care plans addressing nutritional needs

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Master’s degree REQUIRED (effective 2020)
