Job summary

Root Edge is seeking an executive-level technologist to own the end-to-end technology roadmap, oversee vendor relationships, and drive architecture for a data warehouse, integration layer, and AI platform. You will report to the Chief Strategy Officer and manage a small team including an Automation Engineer, a Data and BI Analyst, and a CRM/Salesforce Analyst.

You will influence strategic technology decisions, ensure scale and governance of data systems, and partner with an outsourced IT vendor

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of relevant experience in energy, asset management, or financial services preferred.
• Strong vendor management experience in technology delivery and governance.
• Deep knowledge of data warehouse design, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data governance.
• Hands-on with Azure Fabric, Azure AI Foundry, or Synapse is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the technology roadmap with oversight from the Chief Strategy Officer.
• Manage all technology vendor relationships relating to the roadmap, including evaluating deliverables, approving phase gate sign-offs, and negotiating scope changes.
• Lead architecture decisions on the data warehouse, integration layer, and AI platform.
• Directly manage the Automation Engineer, Data and BI Analyst, and CRM and Salesforce Analyst.
• Serve as internal technical counterpart to the outsourced IT vendor's Delivery Director, with authority to challenge architecture and delivery decisions.
