Job summary

Rocket Software is seeking a Senior Principal Architect to define and drive the DataEdge portfolio's technical strategy across distributed, cloud, and mainframe environments. You will partner with Product Management, Engineering, Support, and leadership to align roadmaps and platform investments with customer needs and Rocket's strategy to become a platform company.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience across enterprise products.
• Proven ability to define architecture and technology strategy at scale.
• Strong experience with cloud-native patterns, AI integration, and platform consolidation.

Responsibilities

• Define DataEdge platform strategy and translate priorities into a cross-product technical roadmap.
• Build alignment across Product and Engineering, balancing product needs with platform objectives.
• Collaborate across DataEdge and Rocket portfolios to identify shared platform opportunities.
• Drive reusable services, APIs, frameworks, and common platform capabilities.
• Define cloud-native deployment, observability, security, and operational excellence.
• Lead AI platform adoption, intelligent automation, and agentic systems across DataEdge.
• Mentor senior engineers/architects and communicate architectural decisions to executives.
