Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in Los Angeles seeks a Disputes and Investigations Director to lead cross‑functional engagements in national security risk analysis, compliance, and investigative work for high‑stakes clients. You will design and oversee governance frameworks, IAM and zero trust initiatives, and deliver detailed technical reports to senior counsel and executives.

Travel up to 20% is required. You will mentor teams, manage client relationships, and ensure adherence to NIST, ISO, and CMMC

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with technology companies delivering controlled technology nationally and internationally.
• Experience with NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-218, NIST SP 800-161, and/or ISO 27001.
• Experience working in cybersecurity governance and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java).
• Background in network and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies and deployments.
• Experience with Big Data platforms (on premise and cloud).
• Ability to obtain a USG security clearance and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional project teams in advisory, oversight, and audit projects related to national security reviews and regulatory compliance.
• Design and implement Zero Trust architectures and IAM solutions with PAM, RBAC, and continuous authentication.
• Conduct enterprise security assessments focusing on identity governance and access management.
• Review architectures, interview DevSecOps personnel, and oversee code analysis and penetration testing.
• Develop remediation roadmaps aligned with enterprise standards.
• Implement SIEM, IGA, and PAM to enable automated compliance monitoring.
• Create project artifacts and governance frameworks; travel up to 20% to client sites.
