Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Disputes and Investigations Director to lead national security risk analysis, zero trust architecture, and IAM implementations for government and regulated sectors. You will guide cross-functional teams, document security controls, and translate findings into strategic recommendations for senior counsel and clients.

You will collaborate with security professionals, develop remediation roadmaps, and ensure compliance with NIST/ISO frameworks while traveling to client

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with Technology Companies that deliver controlled technology nationally and internationally.
• Experience with NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-218, NIST SP 800-161, and/or ISO 27001.
• Experience working in cybersecurity governance (NIST CSF; NIST 800-171 and -53; CIS-18 IG1 and ISO 27001).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, etc.).
• Background in network and cloud-based platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies and deployments.
• Experience with Big Data platforms (on premise and cloud).
• Ability to obtain a USG security clearance
• One or more relevant industry certification: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA CASP+, CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001, or comparable certifications

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional project teams in advisory, oversight, and audit projects related to national security reviews, export controls, and CMMC.
• Design and implement Zero Trust architectures and IAM solutions including PAM and RBAC.
• Conduct enterprise-wide security assessments focusing on identity governance and Zero Trust.
• Direct security assessments of applications and software including architecture reviews and code analysis.
• Analyze penetration test results and develop remediation roadmaps aligned with enterprise standards.
• Implement SIEM, IGA, and PAM solutions for automated compliance monitoring.
• Create and maintain project governance artifacts and reporting mechanisms.
• Travel up to 20% to client sites and assessment locations.
