Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal, a global consulting firm, seeks a Disputes and Investigations Director in San Francisco to lead cross-functional teams on national security reviews, implement Zero Trust and IAM solutions, and assess enterprise security architectures. The role emphasizes governance, regulatory alignment, and executive-level reporting.

You will oversee security assessments, manage remediation roadmaps, and collaborate with senior counsel and executives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with technology companies delivering controlled technology.
• Experience with NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-218, NIST SP 800-161, and ISO 27001.
• Experience working in cybersecurity governance and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java).
• Background in cloud-based platforms and containerization (GCP, AWS, Kubernetes).
• Ability to obtain a US government security clearance.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001, CompTIA Security+.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional project teams on advisory, oversight, and audit projects related to national security reviews and regulatory compliance.
• Design and implement Zero Trust architecture and IAM solutions, including PAM and RBAC, with least-privilege access.
• Conduct enterprise‑wide security assessments focusing on identity governance and Zero Trust.
• Direct security assessments of applications and software with detailed report delivery to executives.
• Analyze penetration test results and develop remediation roadmaps aligned with enterprise standards.
• Implement SIEM, IGA, and PAM solutions for automated compliance monitoring and security oversight.
• Create and maintain governance artifacts (WBS, risk registers, resource plans) and reporting mechanisms.
• Availability for up to 20% travel to client sites.
