Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle is seeking a Director - Cyber Security Architecture to define security for its classified enclaves, mission ground systems, and lab environments. You will own the ATO/ATC and oversee a team of engineers and analysts across multiple sites.

This role requires DoD/IC experience, TS/SCI with polygraph, and RMF/SSP expertise. You will drive accreditation, mentor staff, and coordinate with government officials to protect critical national security missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Cybersecurity or equivalent.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity engineering with 3+ years leading teams.
• Experience architecting and accrediting classified DoD/IC systems.
• Hands-on depth in multiple security domains (e.g., network security, IAM/PKI, cyber threat detection).
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility.
• DoD 8140 IAM Level III certification (CISSP or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Architect security for classified enclaves, mission ground segments, and lab environments; own ATO/ATC and security posture.
• Hire, mentor, and develop cyber engineers and analysts across multiple sites.
• Lead threat hunting, vulnerability management, and incident response with SOC partners.
• Drive accreditation to RMF SSP/POA&M; ensure accreditation is mission-critical, not paperwork.
• Interface with government Authorizing Officials, assessors, and cyber leads.
