Job summary

Blue Origin in Denver is seeking a Director - Cyber Security Architecture to own the security architecture for classified enclaves, mission ground systems, and lab environments, and to steward ATO/ATC processes across programs.

You will build and lead a distributed team of cyber engineers and analysts, drive threat hunting, vulnerability management, and incident response in partnership with the enterprise SOC and mission partners, while maintaining a strong security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (CS, cybersecurity, CE, or similar).
• 10+ years in cybersecurity engineering with 3+ years leading technical teams.
• Experience architecting and accrediting classified DoD/IC systems.
• Proven success achieving ATOs under RMF SSP through POA&M closure.
• Hands-on depth in at least three areas: network security, IAM, government cloud, threat detection, vulnerability management, or endpoint hardening.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and eligibility for SAP access.
• DoD 8140 IAM Level III certification (CISSP or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Architect security for classified enclaves, mission IT systems, and RMF-based postures.
• Lead and grow a team of cyber engineers and analysts across sites.
• Direct threat hunting, vulnerability management, and incident response with SOC partners.
• Drive systems to ATO under RMF and maintain accreditation as mission-critical path.
• Serve as principal technical contact for government officials and cyber leads.
