Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer III to build and harden systems across classified enclaves and mission ground systems. You will drive accreditation, perform vulnerability management, and lead incident response in a fast-paced, national-security context.

The role offers ownership over systems and active influence on accreditation playbooks. You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with program engineers, and contribute to team standards while working onsite in a classified

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
4+ years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience.
Experience implementing security controls on classified DoD/IC systems.
RMF control implementation, SSP/artifact development, POA&M remediation, and continuous monitoring.

Responsibilities

Engineer and harden security architecture across enclaves, ground systems, and labs; implement network segmentation, IAM, endpoint hardening, logging, and encryption.
Drive accreditation by authoring SSPs, security control statements, risk assessments, and POA&Ms; process RMF to ATO/ATC and sustain through continuous monitoring.
Defend the environment with vulnerability scanning, patch management, log review, and incident triage with the enterprise SOC.
Respond to incidents; participate in on-call rotation; investigate, contain, and document incidents; drive corrective actions to closure.
