Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates is seeking a Director, Customer Transportation in the United States to lead the strategy, procurement, and execution of customer transportation across the business. You will manage carriers, 3PL partnerships, budgeting, and network optimization while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required
• 10+ years of transportation, logistics, supply chain, or distribution experience, including leadership of teams and external partners
• Experience managing transportation networks, carrier relationships, and RFP processes
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, distribution, and customer fulfillment networks
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost‑saving initiatives
• Project management, change management, and continuous improvement experience
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall customer transportation strategy
• Lead transportation transformation initiatives and process redesign
• Establish operating models and sourcing strategies for service excellence and financial performance
• Lead carrier sourcing, negotiations, and procurement activities
• Manage relationships with carriers and 3PLs, ensuring performance accountability
• Ensure sufficient transportation capacity across the network
• Represent transportation to customers and internal stakeholders
• Partner with finance to develop budgets and long-term cost plans
• Monitor metrics and drive initiatives to improve cost, service, and efficiency
• Lead analytics to anticipate trends and drive continuous improvement
