Job summary

Brooklyn Community Services (inc) is seeking a Cornerstone Program Director to provide visionary leadership for NYCHA community center programming. You will supervise multidisciplinary staff, ensure contract compliance, and drive engagement with youth, families and partners.

The role requires strong management experience, excellent communication, and the ability to navigate government contracts and nonprofit programs with compassion and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in child development or elementary education with strong management experience (5 years or more) required.
• MSW, MPA, MPH or equivalent Master’s Degree preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, supervisory and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent supervision and management for all aspects of high quality program services delivery; serve as a role model to stakeholders.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of the center and provide on-site coverage for staff when needed.
• Develop educational and recreational programming in line with contractual obligations and agency goals.
• Coordinate reporting, recruitment, enrollment, retention and referrals to meet contractual requirements.
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate Cornerstone staff and manage payroll.
