Grand Street Settlement’s Wyckoff Gardens program seeks a Cornerstone Program Assistant Director to help lead development and supervision of high-quality youth programming for elementary through adult participants. The role focuses on innovative programming in a dynamic NYCHA community space with a smaller funding footprint.

The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, budget and grant management skills, and bilingual Spanish/English abilities, with a strong commitment to urban youth

Qualificações

• Associates degree or equivalent of 5+ years in youth services; supervisory exp preferred.
• Familiarity with BK communities, key stakeholders and resources.
• Experienced in designing, planning, and implementing structured programs.
• 1+ years in supervising staff.
• 1+ years of budget, contract and grant management experience.
• Ability to work independently, assesses priorities, and take initiative.
• High level of proficiency in administrative work.
• Knowledge of the public education system and positive youth development best practices.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to two program staff.
• Support orientation and evaluation of program staff assigned to center-based after school program and summer day camp.
• Supervise staff to meet goals and performance outcomes.
• Recruit participants and retention strategies using the DYCD online report.
• Liaise with school administration, parents and community entities.
• Support staff development through mentoring and coaching.
• Facilitate team meetings and ensure proper execution of staff meetings.
• Set standards for quality youth development programming.
• Engage community residents and partners to address community needs.
• Assist with quarterly program assessments and surveys.
• Seek at least 3 new partners annually.
