Job summary

Brooklyn Community Services is seeking a Program Director for the Cornerstone Seth Low initiative in Brooklyn, NY. The role requires strong leadership, program development and staff supervision to deliver high-quality services for youth and families.

Responsibilities include managing staff, ensuring contract compliance with DYCD and funders, overseeing program operations from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, and building partnerships with NYCHA communities to expand Cornerstone services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with strong management experience (5+ years) required.
• MSW, MPA, MPH or equivalent Master’s Degree preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, supervisory and team-building skills; ability to motivate staff and meet program goals.
• Vaccination for COVID-19 is required unless a medical or religious exemption is granted.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and management for all aspects of high-quality program services delivery to vulnerable clients per funder/regulatory requirements.
• Oversee direct reports and ensure on-site coverage and smooth center operations.
• Develop educational and recreational programming aligned with DYCD/DOE guidelines and contractual obligations.
• Direct reporting to DYCD Program Manager and oversight of site visits and director meetings.
• Oversee data reporting, enrollment, and participation metrics; monitor contracts and sustainability of Cornerstone site.
• Recruit, engage, and manage relationships with co-locators and subcontractors.
• Coordinate recruitment, enrollment, retention, and referral efforts to meet contractual requirements.
• Attend Resident Association and Youth Council meetings; manage inventory and budget compliance.
• Lead staff development workshops and participate in cross-agency committees.
