Job summary

On Location in New York seeks a Director, Core Business Finance to lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting, cost management, and finance transformation for Core G&A. This role partners with senior leaders to convert business plans into reliable budgets and insights, driving efficiency and strategic decision-making.

You will oversee workforce planning, collaborate with FP&A and HR, and deliver actionable analytics while guiding cost-saving initiatives and system improvements.

Qualifications

• Finance or FP&A leadership experience in a complex, multi-business environment.
• Strong command of cost-center planning, workforce economics, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Experience leading cross-functional planning processes with senior business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior business partner to Core leaders, challenging assumptions and explaining trade-offs.
• Lead Core G&A planning, budgeting, and long-range planning across functions.
• Own workforce and labor planning, including FTEs, contractors, hires, exits, and merit adjustments.
• Coordinate with wider FP&A and enterprise reporting to consolidate inputs.
• Drive performance reporting with clear drivers, variances, and actions for leadership.
• Identify and deliver cost savings, tracking realized benefits.
• Define and manage the Core G&A finance operating model and data standards.
• Lead finance transformation via planning, automation, and system initiatives.
• Own cross-functional special projects from scope to handoff; ensure adoption and impact.
• Build and lead a capable Core G&A finance team with clear ownership.
