Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Head of Contract Management for Hub North America, guiding contract strategy across tendering, negotiation, and project execution. You will manage risk, lead a team, and collaborate with legal, finance, and engineering to ensure compliant, value-driven outcomes.

The role emphasizes developing capabilities, standardizing processes, and training teams to deliver reliable project execution for complex grid, digital, and infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years in contract management or related legal/commercial roles.
• Experience in tendering and project execution for complex technology or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to draft, review, and administer complex commercial contracts.
• Knowledge of contract strategy, risk allocation, and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Contract Management strategy for Hub North America.
• Lead the Contract Management organization and standardize methodologies and procedures.
• Review tender and contract documentation to identify obligations, risks and opportunities.
• Support tendering and sales with commercially sound, contract-compliant proposals.
• Negotiate and manage contractual arrangements with customers, suppliers and partners.
• Identify and mitigate contractual, commercial, and financial risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide contract management support during project execution, including claims and variations.
• Coach and develop Contract Management professionals and promote continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and guidelines.
