Job summary

Accenture Construct is seeking an experienced project executive to lead major rail and transit infrastructure programs in the NYC metro area. You will oversee all project phases from pre-construction through commissioning, manage multiple contracts, and coordinate with client executives, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible experience delivering major rail and transit infrastructure projects, preferably NYC metro area.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required – New York strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead executive leadership and overall management of all project phases including pre-construction, procurement support, construction, testing, and commissioning.
• Oversee multiple design-build and/or alternative delivery contracts, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Serve as primary liaison with client executive leadership, project controls, legal, and stakeholders, including local jurisdictions and regulatory agencies.
• Lead contract administration activities including change management, claims avoidance and resolution, risk management, and contract compliance.
• Establish and enforce project governance, reporting structures, and performance metrics consistent with rail standards and FTA / FRA requirements.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams including construction management, design support, QA, safety, environmental compliance, and stakeholder coordination.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to manage permitting, utility relocations, traffic control, and community impacts.
• Oversee implementation of project controls systems including cost management, scheduling, and risk tracking.
• Lead executive level reporting including briefings, Board reports, and stakeholder presentations.
• Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented environment to resolve issues and maintain momentum.
• Flexible: work location includes remote, onsite with client, or Accenture office/center.
• Some in-person time for collaboration and relationship-building.
