Job summary

IREN, a US-based AI Cloud provider, seeks a Director of Contracts, Cost Control, and Claims to lead the commercial lifecycle for data center projects across the United States. You will negotiate with GC, EPC, and design partners, manage change orders, and drive cost-to-complete governance in collaboration with Legal, Finance, and Procurement.

The role requires 15+ years in construction contract management with leadership experience, extensive drafting of indemnities, warranties, and performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, procurement, engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in construction contract management and procurement.
• Experience negotiating GC, EPC, design consultant, and commissioning agreements.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and executive presentation skills.
• Familiarity with project controls, cost forecasting, and earned value management.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract negotiations for GC, EPC, MEP, and commissioning agreements.
• Establish standard templates and playbooks to protect company interests.
• Oversee contract administration across the project lifecycle.
• Manage change orders, billing governance, and cost-to-complete.
• Lead cost control frameworks and forecast variances.
• Oversee claims management and dispute resolution.
• Build and mentor a contracts and cost-control team.
