Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a Director/VP, Commercial Lines to lead national operations for the Commercial P&C practice. The role partners with divisional leaders to standardize processes, drive efficiency, and deliver exceptional client service while guiding M&A integration and agency operating model evolution.

The ideal candidate will have a property & casualty license, CPCU/CIC designation, and 5–7+ years in large brokerage leadership, with strong communication and change leadership

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience in a large insurance brokerage/agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable improvements.
• Workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
• Proven ability to influence leaders in a matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategies with regional leaders.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvements to boost productivity and consistency.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Plan staffing and capacity to support growth and excellence.
• Align Managed Services with organizational goals.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, and systems.
• Support M&A integration with operational assessments and alignment.
• Collaborate with producers and leaders to drive adoption of new processes.
• Promote EPIC and technology utilization to improve performance.
• Use metrics and BI to drive improvements and accountability.
• Lead change initiatives and professional development.
• Champion IOA values in all interactions.
