Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida Tennessee and Kentucky. Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention, mental health services and foster care. What will you do as a Clinical Director for Community-based services?
- As the Clinical Director in the Community-based Clinical Services department, you will provide both administrative and clinical supervision to contracted outpatient therapists and intensive in-home clinicians within the Charlotte Metro area. Your role will include ensuring that high-quality clinical care is delivered, while maintaining effective communication with your leader, peers, and direct reports.
- A typical day for you will involve coaching and holding direct reports accountable, driving excellence in clinical care, and ensuring that both client and program needs are met.
- This role can be based fully in the office at the Family Service Center on Wendover Rd in Charlotte or be a hybrid position, requiring multiple days per week in the office.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have valid Driver’s License and meet any credentialing, licensing and privileging standards as it pertains to the program(s) they lead.
- Education requirements for a Clinical Director is a master’s or doctoral degree and an active clinical licensure in NC.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a clinical supervisor license
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Doctorate in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution who are Licensed Psychologist in North Carolina, in good standing.
- Verified 3 years of work experience as a high performing individual contributor in a related field
- Exposure to leadership/management experiences either through short term project management, coordination, training or actual leadership positions
- Displays the capacity/coachability for future growth and development as a leader
